Tracy and Bill Tomiak were married in the Catholic Church in 1989.  They have five beautiful children, Samantha (14), David (13), Christine (11), Danielle (8) and Kathryn (7).  They have lived in Calgary, Alberta for eight years.  The Tomiak family is active in their parish and continues to be involved with youth and church ministry.

It is through their work in the church that the concept of A Legacy of Faith and Family Tradition began.  They discovered families yearning for information on how to live their Catholic faith outside of Sunday Mass without knowing where to turn for the answers and ideas.  Traditions that were once passed on from generation to generation have unfortunately been abandoned.  Families have experienced the absence of tradition and legacy and are searching for concrete ideas and way to teach themselves and their children their faith.  This surge in desire has spawned many new products to reach Catholic families of today with the message of the deep traditions of our Catholic Faith.  A Legacy of Faith and Family Tradition is one of these products.

God placed on the Tomiak’s hearts the idea of proactively providing families with material to help them live their Catholic Faith.  This started with a monthly newsletter with ideas and instructions of celebrating the upcoming month from Monica McConkey’s book, A Treasure Chest of Tradition For Catholic Families.  The concept progressed with the addition of a member’s website that would provide additional information in the three areas of building a legacy of faith and family tradition – Faith, Marriage and Family.  This comprehensive site will keep families up to date with information; provide valuable tools for building a legacy within the family as well as a Teen Zone and Kid’s Korner for all members of the family.

Throughout the process of building this site the Tomiak’s have been overwhelmed with the amount of great information scattered throughout the internet, most of it untapped by many Catholic families.  It has been their goal to bring this information together and provide families with the exciting news that the Catholic faith is alive, vibrant and a faith for today’s Catholic family.
